SCCF is excited to announce that applications have opened for the second cohort of Startup Shenandoah Valley (S2V). After cohort one’s successful session, SCCF is looking forward to continuing the program. To read more about the companies in the first cohort, click here.
S2V is a hybrid program that combines the strengths of accelerator and incubator models. It is the region’s first online accelerator-incubator program for high-growth businesses. Companies selected for the program;s second cohort will take part in an eight-week coaching “sprint” beginning in late-May 2021. This will consist of one-on-one virtual coaching, tailored mentoring, and support on all aspects of running a successful high-growth business – such as raising capital, recruiting and retaining top talent, marketing, and legal issues, among others. Most importantly, participants will become part of an invaluable alumni network of the Valley’s best companies and a growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. With support from partners across the region and SCCF has designed an innovative program that will help businesses in the Valley compete at a national level. Additionally, S2V is offered to participants at no charge and without equity requirements.
Entrepreneurs at any stage of the business cycle are encouraged to apply. Bryant Harrison, founder of QuickFix and participant in S2V’s inaugural cohort, advises new participants to “Jump in.” And, as AK Koyee, founder of Pure Shenandoah and participant in S2V’s inaugural cohort, said, “The Shenandoah Valley is ripe for success.”
Entrepreneurs and companies interested in S2V should begin the application process on the Staunton Fund’s website here. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and the deadline to apply is April 9, 2021. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact any member of the SCCF team.
SCCF’s goal is to make S2V a productive and rewarding experience for our mentors and for our program participants. We will work with mentors to identify the best fit for their interests and availability. If you are interested in being a mentor to participants in this program, please click here.
