The Staunton Creative Community Fund offers a variety of paths towards funding for small businesses in the Central Shenandoah Valley. Whether through a variety of loan products or by facilitating local investments, we can help you find the resources you need to start or expand your business.
Our loans range from $500 to $50,000 and can be used to support start-up costs, job creation, marketing, working capital, and green business initiatives. Our interest rates range from 6.25% to 8.5% and our terms range from 1 to 6 years.
We offer loans to new and existing small businesses in Augusta County, Rockingham County, Rockbridge County, Highland County, and Bath County, as well as the cities of Staunton, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, Lexington, and Buena Vista.

We believe that Small Business Borrowers should have fundamental financing rights built on transparency and fairness. For this reason, we are a signatory on the Small Business Borrowers’ Bill of Rights and hold ourselves to maintaining this transparency and fairness throughout our entire loan process. This is a group of small business lenders, both nonprofit and for-profit, that have committed to adhere to responsible business lending principles. The lack of regulations for small business lenders launched the desire for transparency for small business borrowers. More information about the standards available here.
