Startup Shenandoah Valley

STARTUP SHENANDOAH VALEY (S2V) enables you to take your business to the next level. Learn to address the riskiest parts of your business model with flexible one-on-one coaching during S2V’s 8-week sprint. Gain valuable insight from our mentorship program and continue the learning and support by joining a diverse community of entrepreneurs and resource providers through our alumni network and ongoing programming.

S2V is offered to participants at no charge and without equity requirements.

Women, Black, and Brown-Owned Business Support

Women, Black, and Brown-owned businesses can receive grants for growing their business and scholarships to our 8-week Business Bootcamp.

Business Bootcamp

Business Bootcamp is an 8-week class to help you launch your business. We will help you develop business skills and determine the viability of your idea and what it will take to be a successful entrepreneur.

The course is 6pm-8:30pm each Wednesday for eight weeks. You will learn Business Modeling; Understanding Pricing and Break-Even Analysis; and Cash Flow Projections. The course also offers Q & A sessions with local Entrepreneurs and covers topics including Legal Entities; Business Taxes; Setting Up Your Business; and Pitching Your Idea Effectively.

Tuition for Business Bootcamp is $325 and includes all course materials. Need-based scholarships and payments plans also available.

Learning Lab

SCCF is proud to partner with Letterpress Communications to offer Learning Lab, a 5-week digital marketing course featuring one-on-one coaching from experts in the fields of website development, marketing strategy, and search engine optimization. Participants also work in cohorts and are able to brainstorm together and build relationships that can strengthen professional and community ties for the future  Interested applicants should apply by December 30. Accepted applicants will be notified in January 2021 of their application status and course dates. Registration is free, thanks to a generous sponsorship from Shentel Business.
